Every person is unique and has unique abilities, but to know them, you need to get your own special way. However, how do you know that the course you are taking is yours? Choose the one that fits you, not the one your parents or your friends recommended. It can be challenging to comprehend what has been demanded of you in the era of social media and increased information, and it can be difficult to remember what you really wanted.
One morning on YouTube, I came across a TedX videos with singer Maryna Krut. After watching it, I was incredibly moved by her narrative and wanted to learn more about her path to success in order to find answers to my questions.
Maryna Krut is a songwriter, poet, musician, and bandura person. She was raised in a working-class Khmelnytskyi family, where her dad is a structural engineer and her mother is a trolleybus vehicle. However, in an interview, the song said that her mother sang and her father played the guitar. When Maryna saw a woman perform with the bandura in her hometown as a child, she herself chose the instrument. Since then, she believed that she would become a popular singer. She also traveled to China at the age of 19 to get paid to report her second album.
At the TedX speak, Maryna said:” Creativity is unachievable without honesty. For the first time, I was open to myself when I purposefully avoided entering a higher education institution because I understood that I had a choice. Something inside, which I now call my soul, told me that I did n’t need to listen to the cruel voice of society, others, and loved ones. No need to talk to my self, which screams about a crimson diploma, about winning different competitions. I made the decision to “listen to my mind” and “go all-in”.
Hearing this thought, I realized that this was the answer to my issues. What you really need to know about yourself is by listening to yourself. To be truthful with oneself and the universe. Of course, this does require great work. The course can be long, prickly, with ups and downs. And here I want to offer a track by Maryna Krut:
” This is your way, this is your road,
The person who does n’t act is wrong.
Maybe it happens, it gets enormous,
But it is what does not destroy that makes us stronger”.
Maryna’s journey was not quick, she recalled in an interview with SLUH in February 2020:” My prepare in Khmelnytskyi was’ never say no’. But I performed anywhere: at corporate events, flat parties, some evenings. Eventually, this plan led me to do in a prison, a medical hospital, homes, and nursing houses. And numerous times to the ATO territory. I came to the realization that I had to present myself to others. The Khmelnytskyi as a whole knew me in two or three years.
Maryna mentioned in a Rolling Stone article about Ukrainian players last year, saying:” It was a long and difficult journey, but now my music is played in Russian institutions and the world knows my music. I could n’t imagine any other way because it was my dream, and I think people can do anything. If they just have passion in their souls, everything is possible”.
Now, Maryna Krut has become popular in Ukraine and beyond. When she chose to listen to herself and be fair, she was right. Having gone through difficulties, she was able to recognize her dream and continues to reach new heights. This tale is motivational because it demonstrates that anything is possible. You just have to have faith in yourself and work toward it all the time.
